At a recent reunion, one of the men said to me, “So, I see you’re a lawyer for old people.” I laughed, because yes, I am an Elder Law Attorney, and many of my clients are older adults. He was my age, so there was no offense taken—in fact, he even joked that there were plenty of potential clients, including me, at the event. I am “old” and grateful for all the years I’ve lived.
But Elder Law isn’t just “law for old people.” It involves planning for the elderly, people living with disabilities, and anyone needing traditional estate planning. Elder Law requires expertise in public benefits, Medicaid (Medi-Cal), Veteran’s Benefits, Social Security, and Medicare, as well as a deep understanding of Wills, Trusts, and Powers of Attorney for Finances and Health Care. Elder Law Attorneys have the added knowledge to help those facing disability, dementia, and other life-altering diagnoses. In my humble opinion, we’re superstars.
With my certifications and life experience, I’m uniquely equipped to protect you and your family, particularly if you’re dealing with dementia, disability, or other serious diagnoses. If you want to be prepared for the road ahead, give me a call.
