When Real-Life Horror Strikes, Here’s How to Be Prepared

I hate horror movies, but my friend Dave loves them. I’ve never enjoyed them because I don’t like being scared. I’ve also lived through some real-life events that could easily be horror movies. A friend murdered at the Hilton Pasadena, a client’s mom killed by her own son who became paranoid from drug use, a family where all but one child was killed by a driver under the influence of drugs, a police officer killed in the line of duty, and a mother lost in a mass shooting—all tragic events.

These were devastating, and it was an honor to help these families. Some had all their legal planning in place, while others did not. Emotionally, it was equally hard on all these families. However, those who had to endure years of legal processes relived their trauma each time they signed another document or attended a court hearing.

I hope you never have to live through something like this. If you do, I can help. I’ve had my own personal losses: I lost my brother and father within 10 months during high school and my husband to young onset dementia. My mom passed peacefully at 91. I’ll guide you through the legal process with compassion, so if you ever need assistance in a difficult time, give me a call.
