May Your Holidays Be Filled with Light

Enjoy the lights. As I drive home at night, I see the Christmas lights and the menorahs now being lit. This season has been dark with the loss of Jubilant Sykes, whose version of “Mary, Did You Know?” I love, the shootings, and the stabbing of Rob Reiner and his wife. I know that many are suffering from the loss of loved ones. Yet, as I see the lights, I remember that this time of year we celebrate the hope that light brings—the hope of the Hanukkah miracle and the birth of Jesus, each reminding those of faith and those without that there is hope of good and that even in darkness, G-d will bring some light.

May your holidays be filled with light, love, and perhaps a miracle or two.
