How My 100-Year-Old Client Prepared for the Future

A client of mine just celebrated her 100th birthday. She has outlived two of her three children. While she’s grateful to still be alive, she admitted that she wished she had done more while she could. Life at 100 is hard. She is now moving to Assisted Living since her daughter, who had been taking care of her, recently passed, and her remaining child lives far away.

We updated her Trust, and she chose to leave her money to her grandchildren since her last living child doesn’t need the financial support. As she reflected on her life, she said, “I wish I could have spent more time with them.” She also expressed gratitude for the life she lived and how carefully she managed her money. Thanks to her planning, she can afford the care she needs now.

If you want to be as prepared as my 100-year-old client, give me a call.
