Gratitude, Grace, and Thanksgiving Blessings

I am so blessed. Thanksgiving is a time to remember all the things I am thankful for. I am thankful for all my clients and the trust each of you placed in me. I am thankful for my home and a full pantry, and that I have some extra money to use to buy groceries to give to the food pantry to help those in need. I am thankful for my children and their partners whom they love.

I am thankful for friends—those with whom I have shared a lifetime and others who are newer. “Make new friends, but keep the old; one is silver and the other gold.” I am thankful for friends from the past who have connected with me through social media.

I am thankful for my career as an attorney. I love helping people and am grateful I have found a way to use the law to help so many. I am thankful for my education. I am thankful to all the people I have met along the way, especially those who challenged my beliefs. I am thankful for books, my constant companions.

I am thankful for pain and heartache too, as they have made me a better, more compassionate person.

I am counting my blessings, naming them one by one. I hope you do so too.
