Beware: New toll road text message scam

There is a new scam targeting drivers with fraudulent text messages claiming you need to “Pay your FastTrack Lane tolls by {Date} to avoid a fine and keep your license.” The message includes a link to a fake website that looks nearly identical to the actual Toll Roads website.

How This Scam Works:

If you click on the link and enter your payment details, scammers collect your credit card and personal information to make fraudulent charges.

How to Protect Yourself:

✔ NEVER click on a link in a text message to pay a bill.

✔ ALWAYS go directly to the official website to verify and make payments.

✔ WATCH for small details—scam websites often have slight misspellings or unusual domain names.

✔ REPORT suspicious messages to the official toll service or local authorities.

Stay cautious and share this warning with family and friends.
