How to Ensure Your End-of-Life Wishes Are Honored

Death and dying are subjects many people avoid. But for clients facing a terminal illness, these conversations are essential. Some want every possible life-saving measure, while others choose to focus on comfort and dignity, even when that means deciding how and when their life will end.

I help clients have these difficult conversations with their families and ensure their wishes are honored. I’ve advocated for clients who wanted to remain on ventilators as well as those who chose to be removed from life support. I’ve supported decisions for feeding tubes and artificial hydration, and I’ve stood by families choosing hospice and comfort care.

I understand these moments on a personal level. I held my parents’ hands when they made the difficult decision to turn off my brother’s life support. I know what it means to say a final goodbye and the value of palliative care and hospice.

If you are facing end-of-life decisions, or simply want to be prepared, give me a call. I’m here to help you talk through your wishes, document them, and make sure they’re honored.
